If you are a first time patient, please call (401) 519-5190 to schedule your initial visit. Initial acupuncture appointments are generally 1.5 to 2 hours long and include a full medical history. Initial hypnosis visits are 60 minutes and include an intake regarding the circumstances being addressed as well as goals.
Once your initial visit is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the patient portal. Here you will be able to update your personal information as well as complete your medical history and sign any necessary forms prior to your appointment. We kindly ask that you fill out all available forms 24 hours prior to your appointment and arrive 15 minutes early the day of to complete any additional paperwork. If you have any relevant labs or imaging documents that you would like us to review, please feel free to bring them with you.

In order to provide our patients with maximum schedule availability, the office maintains a strict 24 hour cancellation policy and for this purpose keeps one credit card on file. If a patient cancels less than 24 hours ahead of time, is running more than 15 minutes late or no shows (does not arrive for the appointment and fails to provide notice), the appointment will be rescheduled and the patient will be responsible for the full out of pocket cost of the visit. This applies to all patients regardless of insurance coverage. If the patient is able to reschedule within the same week, the cancellation policy will be waived for that visit. If the patient fails to pay the cancellation fee or her/his card on file is invalid, s/he will not be able to schedule an appointment until the account is current.
The only exceptions to this policy are debilitating illness/hospitalization, illness of dependent child/immediate family member/pet, motor vehicle accidents, and extreme weather*. While it’s understood that everyone has contingencies in their lives, from unexpected business meetings to exams to flight delays, the office is unable to absorb the lost clinical time resulting from such eventualities. No other exceptions will be made.
Credit card information will be securely stored within the encrypted Square software at the patient’s Initial Visit. It will not be used outside the confines of this policy unless the patient chooses to utilize the same credit card to pay for a completed visit. All information will be kept strictly confidential. This policy will be updated every six months to accommodate new card information.
*Extreme weather: If the office will be closing due to weather conditions, you will be notified via phone call the morning of your appointment.
